How is your work celebrating Christmas in Northampton?

If you’re currently working in Northamptonshire then you’ll probably have some sort of Christmas party coming up, but with so many businesses making plans too, it can be difficult to find an event or activity unless you’ve planned it all in advance. That said, there are many different options but it will at times depend on the employees and what their interests are.

Old-fashioned work party

The real classic work party is of course having a swift one down the local pub. Quite often the Friday before your company breaks up, everyone flocks to the pub before they go home to crack on with their Christmas preparations. This is a nice way to see everyone off before you all arrive back in the office at 8am in the New Year.

Sophisticated Party

A more sophisticated work party could perhaps be a winter wonderland theme party. This may include snowy decorations, Christmas trees, festive music, Christmas food and crackers! There may also be a festive raffle where goodies can be won and a photographer to cover the event. Not all businesses can afford to put on such a show, but there will no doubt be brilliant memories made on the night!

Competitive Night Out

For those who have a competitive side, a spot of bowling at Sixfields can be a nice option. There are plenty of lanes and it’s quite cheap to hire a lane for a few hours. Just be prepared to book this in advance because lots of companies will have this idea in mind; so get on the phone now to check availability.

Christmas at the club

Heading to a nightclub can be another nice option, and this is often the case for the younger generations. Going clubbing in Northampton Town Centre after a busy week at work may not be exactly what you have in mind, especially when it likely means a hangover on the Saturday morning, but there will be plenty of workers getting involved.

Pleasant Meal

A simple sit down meal can be a lovely send of for the festive period. Why not head to a place where there’s a delicious Christmas dinner up for grabs, or if you’re a business owner, treat your employees to a delightful Italian with a gorgeous selection of wines and cheeses.

Team Bonding

If you’re looking to make the most of a Christmas party and get the team bonding, perhaps consider go-karting. You can have relay races, whilst playing Zorb Football is another high intensity game that involves team play. With either of these options you’ll have lots of fun and you’ll get the adrenaline pumping too!

Christmas is a time to celebrate what your business has achieved throughout the course of the year, but it’s also a time to thank your employees so pick an activity that they’ll love. They may then remember the day for many years to come, whilst they’ll be more positive when they return in January and you may find the team is closer and friendlier!
